Developing front line leadership skills to implement strategy more effectively


A workplace advisory service organisation.


The organisation wanted a leadership development program for some of its front line managers, tailored to address their particular high priority areas for development and their unique leadership challenges. The program needed to be suitable for delivery online and in-person.


FBG developed a seven module Management & Leadership program complete with a variety of learning methods. To start, we facilitated a number of focus groups with the frontline managers to identify what issues they faced and which topics or tools would be directly relevant and practical for them. Ultimately seven key developmental areas were agreed upon. FBG then set about developing a tailored program complete with exercises and scenarios the leaders would recognise and engage with. We provided content learning, research, tips and strategies, Q&A’s learning resources, coaching and self-reflection scenarios and opportunities for action planning – all packaged up into a comprehensive learning program. The program was delivered by FBG in a 2-day face-to-face forum and was also presented in an on-line format.
